Reviews for Dark Lady’s Chosen

Gail Martin doesn’t disappoint with this latest installment in the Chronicles of the Necromancer.  I think this is my favorite book in the series so far. The air is thick with intrigue, threats and deception that captures the reader and sweeps them into the story.  It’s one of those wonderful books you can’t bear to put down.  Dark Lady’s Chosen is a satisfying and entertaining read that shouldn’t be missed.  –Victoria Kennedy, Midwest Book Review

***** FIVE STARS! Gail Z. Martin brings together all the places and characters from the previous stories and escalates this fantastic drama to new heights. The author helps refresh readers’ memories by giving a few summary pages at the beginning of the book. As with the previous titles, this story overflows with suspense, intrigue, betrayals, and court dramas. Every time I pick up a novel by Gail Z. Martin, she takes my breath away! ***** Detra Fitch, Huntress Reviews

Martin is one of the best and most talented authors on the market. The characters continue to be “real” and believable, and the action is fast-paced. The progression of the story moves in such a way that a reader can’t help but be engrossed from start to finish. It is a wonderful addition to the series, a great showcase of the characters as they are faced with new challenges, and an absolutely fantastic read. I can’t wait to get my hand on the next book and see what happens next!–Neolibrarium

At a crucial part I was mentally yelling ‘no’ at the book for 2-3 pages, and was so scared for a character that I held a page too tight and there’s now a 1 cm tear on the edge of the page. I’ve never had that happen before! I will try not to hold the book in a death grip at the height of an action scene again. It also took me a minute or two to continue reading as one plot was wound up. I was so happy I burst into tears. With conspiracy theories, treachery, scheming and a case where arson saves a life, I can’t honestly praise Dark Lady’s Chosen enough. I certainly hope to get to read more in this fantastic series.–Nayu’s Reading Corner
